Time To Get Sirius
Ok so we all saw the sweet ass ride that I am pimpin' around in now but one of the finishing touches to enhance my enjoyment of this car was the addition of satellite radio. Now I decided to go with a plug-and-play model because I then have the option to take it with me and listen in my place and pay one subscription fee instead of paying for two recievers. And the model I decided to go with is the Starmate Replay.
This puppy really kicks ass and is complete with replay functions that act like Tivo so I can rewind up to 44 minutes of what I just listened to (incase I lose reception... I can just rewind and hear what I just missed). On top of that Sirius is giving nice rebates for new customers..... how freakin cool is that.
Anyway, terrestrial radio is DEAD in my opinion and satellite radio is the way of the future. Lets face it almost all of the regular stations are going on an automated format with no DJs and the same crappy (edited) music running in loops. With all of the channels available on satellite there is something for everybody to listen to... besides you don't hear the same shit all of the time, they have an awesome variety.
I definately love it and will never go back to regular radio... I even find myself looking for excuses to drive just so I can listen to the radio (I did not buy a home kit yet). Lets face it I am addicted to it already in under a week..... seriously, Sirius is awesome.... go out and get it now.
Oh yeah, don't give me that crap about not wanting to pay for radio... everybody said they would NEVER pay for TV too and lets face it... ALL OF US DO, changes happen and we should give these changes a chance before we all go bitching about fees (its just an excuse for those who do not like change anyway).
BTW The King of all Media starts his ruling over a new domain in the satellite world on Monday...yeahhh baby.

Capt, you really crack me up with all of these gadgets! My 14 year old got a satellite radio (home version) from his father... I have no idea how it works, but I guess I should figure it out so he doesn't spend too much time listening to the "king of all media"! ;-0
David Lee Roth sucks cock.
Um. Yeah. I could live in a world with out "The Radio King" but that's a whooole other discussion. Re: satellite radio, I'm just not there yet. If I don't want commercials I listen to NPR. If I don't want pop music on heavy rotation I listen to classical.
I'm getting old. Keep me in the loop though Capt, I may yet be convinced.:)
Now behave miss kow, the masses have not spoken for Howard.... 500 million bucks did the talking.
Long Live THE KING
Ok, Capt, you are an interesting fellow. You hate Oprah and love Howard Stern. hmmm. I mean, really, what does he add to the national dialogue beyond cursing as an art form and the resurrection of early porn stars?
I'm finding Raw Dog to be the best channel on Sirius.
What do you think?
what does he add to the nation dialoge, how about the abilty to make any one, or any situaion interesting...
He know how to make an interview work and not feel like an inteview.
oh.. and dont forget just plain old fun. Whats been lost in this country for years... Don't say that someone may get hurt feelings.... Bah!!! Fuck that.
And yes KOW I aggree, Raw Dogg rocks..
