Birthday Cheers

This Saturday was my niece's 2nd birthday party and to start I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kaitlyn !!!! The party was the usual family gathering filled with schmoozing and tame chit chat. It was nice getting to see the family (even though I am the coolest one in it) and I had a good time. The real party began after the family left and I got to hang out with my sister, brother-in-law and his sister and her husband. For the record I will say I had such a blast and I am not going to brag but I know they were all diggin hanging out with the Captain (how could you not). It was just killer hanging out and shootin the shit. A lot of old stories were told and also A LOT of drinking was going on, now I wont say much about how much was consumed but I WILL say that I am so straight-laced now a days and I was having such a rad time that I found myself completely on another level of consumption. Now I am not saying this at all to brag but I am saying this because I really calmed down over the years and have become such a goody-two-shoes so I felt completely at ease for the first time in a very long time. I am also not trying to recapture my youth but it felt damn good cutting completely loose and throwing all caution to the wind, I feel people need that once and a while. My point of the whole tale is simple, I had a kick ass time and even though it might have been strange getting trashed with my relatives it was almost as awesome as I am. And by the way, thanks for the couch to crash on sis/bro that was mighty cool and a money move if I do say so myself.
