Another Thursday
Another Thursday and another crap preformance by the Captain in the 9-ball league. My team won tonight and did pretty well as a whole but I on the other hand had a rough night. In my four games I won one and if I might say so I shot incredibly awesome in that game (I finished that win off by running the last 4 balls straight with the 8 and 9 ball shots being total money) but as usual karma kicked in and I payed the price for shooting a great game by losing my other 3 games and shooting like ass in them (although one of the losses was to my friend Rich and to be fair he shot a great game and deserved his win in every possible way: I was basically bitch-slapped by a friend).
Now on to more pressing matters.............ITS HOCKEY SEASON !!!!! Folks I gotta tell ya I could not be happier about it with a miserable 18 months off hockey has come back- damn its a sweet sport. Even though my Islanders lost on opening night yesterday I still had a great time watching the game. It felt like a millenia without watching the coolest sport on earth and I hope that we have seen the last of these bullshit work stopages once and for all. Now that its back I have an even greater appreciation for the game and with its new and improved rules the game should prove to be more exciting then ever proving further reward for the die hard fans that stood by waiting for its return. I will not go into the new rules because there simply is not enough time but I will say that this NEW NHL will have hopefully done away with the horrible ass neutral zone trap that the NJ Devils made so popular. The "trap" was soooo freakin boring and I will take this time to thank the Devils for temporarily ruining hockey.... there was no flow to a game, no scoring and too many damn whistles stoping the play and making games feel akward and plain unwatchable- SORRY DEVILS, NO MORE OF THAT SHIT. With having that said I can now look foward to watching my favorite sport the way it was meant to be played, WITH GOALS (and not to mention actual flow and excitement). Any way welcome back hockey, in this Captains eyes you were missed dearly and are wholeheartedly welcomed back. Now lets drop the puck and play some hockey..EH
